boiler problems

hi after replacing a burnt out central heating pump i now find that when i switch the heating or hot water on the boiler lights and fires up for a few minutes but then turns off again then keeps coming on then off , the pump seems to keep running all the time
thanks the boiler is a ideal mexico we have bled the system several times and the valves are open
