Hello, I hope someone can shed some light ...

the boiler is an IDEAL MINI HE - it's having trouble igniting and staying ignited! Two out of three lights are flashing red.

Any ieas what it could be?

When you dont give exact information on the flashing lights then we have no chance!

In any case two lights are green and only ONE is red so what you have said is definately not correct either!

Looking at the boiler from the front it looks as though the first 2 lights are flashing red and the 3rd green, however when I look inside at the bulbs I can see that only the middle light is actually red.

I turn the boiler in and the lights flash - the first 2 appearing to be red :/

Occasionally the ignition lights but then cuts out within seconds in turn leaving me with no heating or hot water :(

The instruction manual tells you what the problem is likely to be but you'll need to call in an RGI to sort out the problem, it's not a DIY job.

If the LEDs are not aligned with the lens on the front panel then the PCB may have been carelessly replaced or someone has been poking about.

Can you say EXACTLY which lights are on continuously or flashing as viewed from behind rather what you wrongly think by looking from outside?

Then I can see what the boiler thinks is the problem.

Just thought I'd let you know I called someone out and it was the 'transmister'. This has been replaced and the boiler is working fine - so far, so good.

Thanks anyway guys
