I have 2 boilers in my house x1 for the radiators and x1 for the water (when you turn the hot tap on the boiler runs) i just wondered if you can buy a single boiler which will do the both?

Yeah a combination boiler. Same principle of water on demand and does heating aswell.

Yes you can why?

Are you wanting to save money? you won't

Are you wanting less complications? you won't achieve that

Are you wanting space? You get that benefit.

Had a quote to remove the 2 boilers and replace with the 1, £2200 for the job, he said that the system (by law) has to be chemically cleaned flushed, is this true? and the heating system has to be a closed system (the small tank has to be removed in the loft?

Although both things he has said will make for a better and longer lasting system/boiler, neither of them are law, or mandatory under any regulation.

The flushing should always be carried out though.
