i,ve noticed that my bathroom rad is hot all the time this is acting as a by-pass valve for my s plan system have checked programmer and both port valves and they seem ok could it be my boiler stat.

but i have checked the valves the micro switches are working fine

if the system is running when the programmer is off

wheres it getting power from check the orange wire in wiring center

check the valves are actually moving

you say you have checked them

how

if i take the face of the programmer off which removes the switched supply
the boiler & pump still comes on indicating that its being feed via the permanant supply .

It's a valve switch failure then. Change the valve motor head.

make sure l & sl ain't linked at the boiler

this is a new fault
the permanant feed is only at the boiler to keep the pump & fan going till the water temp goes down and shoudn't bring on the gas supply
