Recently moved into a house and ive got a bit of a problem with my central heating which I hope one of you guys/gals can help me with.

The boiler is a glow worm 50e and runs continuously unless I turn off the boiler.
Ive checked the room thermostat and that seems to operate ok but neither turns the boiler on or off or controls the temperature.

Also the pump continuously runs whether the boiler is lit or not, but i'm not sure if this is part of the same problem.

Thanks in advance
Dennis

Zone or diverter valve is stuck.

More info required about system.

Thanks Oilman
Already checked the 2 port valve, still keeps running.

What further info do you need?

How did you check it? Just because its still there doesn't mean its working!

Took the motor off and physically moved the valve.
Did notice however that the motor is still powered when it reaches its full travel, the motor must just stall when it reaches its maximum travel.
