Here is a photo of a valve and presure guage belonging to my boiler and it is leaking water and getting worse.

How would one describe the faulty item to a plumber? Is it easy to replace and how could I source one? Sorry if basic q's go easy on me this is not a strong subject for me.

Cheers

Don't tell him it's an Ideal boiler

I know a bit about the dredded Ideal Isar HE35 boilers from reading the other theads on here! I managed to have a quick look inside it today and cleaned the Ignition electrode and fixed it so it works until I get the boiler insurance sorted. As they charge an excess if you join then call out the AA/British gas.

It is likely one thing after another will fail (according to this forum) so best get this insurance sorted pronto!

Ta very much

You must know boilers well if you recognised it from its fixtures and fittings - so what is involved to get this dripping valve fixed? Is it straighforward for a plumber? Could I purchase the part and fit it?
