Boiler

Hi,
We have a Potterton Suprima boiler (it could be a 60 but not sure as it came with the house and no instructions etc).
It has been switched off for a week due to hols. When we switched it back on the green light flashes and the water is extremely hot even though it's on low. The heating isn't switched on as the weather is so hot!
Any ideas?

Immersion heater switched on by mistake?
Other than that boiler thermostat faulty or cylinder stat.
