I have a BoilermateII that is making an awful buzzing noise.
From messages elsewhere on this forum, it is pretty clear that it is the bottom PCB Delay Timer relay that is the one that is buzzing, and I can confirm this is true.
However, what is not clear is what is causing the relay to buzz. Some of the conflicting advice provided to other correspondents suggests that both boards need to be replaced; or that the Pump Driver PCB must be replaced and then the Delay Timer will stop buzzing; or that the Delay Timer that is buzzing should be replaced; or, get down to Maplin and replace the worn out 22uf electrolytic capacitors for 50p each and save approx £70 per PCB.
Does anyone have a definitive answer please before I spend up to £140 on both cards, £70 to replace one of them, or £1 plus the cost of a soldering iron!?
Thanks in advance.
