Boilers in loft space

Can anyone tell me where i can find the regs for putting a boiler in the loft please ?

Have you looked in the Gas Safety and Use Regulations 1998 ?
 
To be honest I've never really seen where the actual regs are because its in regards to safe working as opposed to gas safety. You could try the hse website perhaps. In anycase its fairly straight forward stuff. Boarding and lighting to and around boiler, fixed ladder with hand rail, rail around the hole if the boiler is close to it. Something along those lines.

Thanks i just need some evidence as i got asked to do a report on a new install and there is no ladder, bording or even lagging. I can't find anything in the corgi book or on google

Stupid as it is, I dont think there is any requirement to provide any lagging!

Always good practice though!

It might have been better if you had explained your motive in the beginning ( and only once to avoid upsetting Mod 7 )

But as usual no one ever polices these requirements!

I'd have thought lagging would be included in Part L :rolleyes:
