Bosch classixx 1200 drum not spinning

My wife has jst advised me that the drum fills up with water and then just clicks instead of the drum going around.

phoned a local guy and explained everything and he reckons a motor service should do it and that is £64 inc parts

? worth it?

It probably just needs a set of carbon brushes. You can easily (& cheaply) fix it yourself if that's the problem. There are many forum posts on this subject & plenty of good video clips on youtube.
