Hi all,

I've got a Bosch Clasixx Condenser dryer (tumble dryer only - it isn't a combined washer/dryer).

It wont finish a full drying cycle. There are 4 "dryness levels":

- Drying
- Iron Dry
- Cupboard Dry
- Anti Crease/End

It goes through the first three levels but stops before Anti Crease/End so the clothes are never properly dry.

I suspect some sort of thermostat problem but really have no clue. Any ideas?

Correction to the above symptoms after discussion with Mrs Tobers who's just returned from the shops:

The dryer only runs for about 5 minutes with the light on "drying", and then stops with the light on "cupboard dry". It skips the "iron dry" light completely.

Well, Mrs Tobers managed to fix this before having to resort to calling out a man in a van.

The problem was that the condenser needed cleaning. The condenser is found by opening a latch which is visible below the door when the door is opened. The condenser was coated in grey gloop. Since it was cleaned, the machine now functions perfectly again.

The condenser cleaning process is written in the manual, and owners are recommended to clean it 3-4 times a year.

Doh! RTFM next time :D
