Are dishes clean?
Is there water in the bottom of the machine still?
Guessing thats the drain pump you can hear!

Put it on a short wash programme and check that it takes as long as it should.
Also check water is getting hot, feel the rear panel every 5 to 10 mins to see if its warm or not.
You could open the door but that will interupt and prolong the duration of the programme.

The 1 left in the display is a fault indication and not 1 minute. If the drain pump is running continuously you probably have water in the base, have a towel ready and tip the dishwasher back.

Could you confirm whether it is showing 1 min remaining at the end of the programme or if it is in fact an error code, displays 1 shortly after starting a programme.

Heater has a earth fault. That's your problem. New heater will cure it.

So do you mean that the heating element is shorting the live to earth?

No , it's got a earth fault. Very common in Bosch machines. When it shows 1 left on display

So you mean an earth cable has come off or corroded?

Ok could you explain earth leakage please!

So current leakage to earth and not necessarily trip the fuse board depending on fuse board type etc...

And hence why its heating but not to its full capacity.

if you have a multi meter it may give you an indication if the element is going to earth. first unplugging the appliance and the setting to continuity and placing one lead to the earth point and then the other to the live connection and then try neutral to earth this is a totaly a dead test but if you get anything under infinity there between the earth point and live connections it's a good indication of a fault or a good megga will show if it's got a earth fault / leakage. But not enough to trip the power.
