Bosch PSB1800 cordless

Just bought one of these and i haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but when i release the trigger there is a bright flash from the back of the drill where the vents are - is this normal or shall i take it back?

yes its the electric brake
if you release the trigger slowly sometimes you can avoid it

thanks for the reply - do you mean yes it is normal or yes i should take it back - don't want to make a fool of myself in the shop!!!

it perfectly normal all battery drills i have tend to do it
its to lock the chuck allowing one handed operation and stop the motor spinning quicker
