Bosch Washing machine buzzing noise

Hello,

've just installed a new Bosch excel washing machine. Have followed the instructions thoroughly and just set off the first (empty) wash. However, whilst trying to draw in water there was a rather loud buzzing (almost drilling) noise - coming from the connection between the machine hose and mains water inlet. There is a filter in the hose near the source of noise, so I was wondering if my the inlet pressure is too high? or is it something else? How would I rectify this?

If you have a hot supply there as well, try connecting to that to see if it does the same. Are you sure your washing machine tap is working OK? Sometimes they get stiff and the plastic knob turns but the ball valve stays shut.
