Hello. I'm not very good at this type of thing but trying to save a few quid and NOT call out someone.

I've checked the fuse in the plug and all seems fine.

Any ideas what the potential problem could be?

It's a Bosch Clasixx 6, 1200 Express.

Thank you.

Although I'm no expert in these things a few things to check maybe.

Is the fuse actually ok? how did you check it? an easy way is to take a fuse out of a working appliance (must be 13amp as washing machines takes a heavy load).

Have you checked the socketis working, again try a working appliance to check.

Is the filter blocked? on some machines this stops them working.

Does the drum rotate freely? if its jammed it may appear that the machine is not working.

If all these check out then I'm afraid its probably time to call someone out.

Whip the cover off, and see if the plug from the power lead has come loose. If all inputs to the machine are good, check over the PCB for broken tracks or signs of burning.

I bet its the carbon bushes on the motor worn out. You can get them on ebay for under a tenner......there's a youtube vid showing you how to swap them over - only takes 10 mins!
