Bosch washing machine not heating water

Hi,
A new member so please go easy on me!
I have read through previous posts on this topic but as usual not quite the same problem as mine so here goes.
For a while now my Bosch washing machine model WFX3268GB/11 has not been heating up the water
Any temperature cycle does complete but can take about 3 hrs, there is no fault code
Just the other day all of a sudden on the 60 degree cycle everything worked inc the hot water, but only once! Now it is back to not heating the water.
I have removed the heating element and it appears ok, I have heated and cooled the NTC put it all back together and for one wash cycle at 60 it worked, but again only one cycle
I have checked the pressure tube and it appears ok
Now the machine goes through a full cycle on any temp setting in the expected time (no more 3 hr cycles) with no hot water and no fault codes.
I am going to try a new NTC as the cheapest option
I am also pulling my hair out but on the plus side can remove the panels and re attach in less than 20 mins!

sounds a bit like my problem. Did you find the cause?

yes thanks I have tested the thermostat and element and these give normal readings.

Do you know of anything else that could cause the heater not to work and the wash cycle to go on much longer. Regards
