bosch wff 120L washing machine sticking through wash cycle

hi all our bosch wff 120L washing macine keeps stopping half way through wash cycle for some reason-it begins alright filling with both hot and cold
and will then wash for a little while then stop
the machine is about six years old so it could be just old now
any washing machine engineers out there please help

It could be a faulty heater or thermostat. The programme can't progress until the required temperature is reached so if it's not heating it will stick at this point.

hi thanks for your replay but i think i've fixed it just put the washing machine to 90degrees with empty drum and its gone through its cycle,then
tried a wash and its worked-fingers crossed it s ok now-it says in the manuel to do this to prevent build up of limescale-thanks
