have recently had my boiler serviced by a corgi registered plumber and am now having problems with the pressure going too high when the heating is running. Had the prv removed and cleaned due to small leak which now seems to be ok but this pressure problem seems to have appeared since then. Can anyone help with this? I'ts a worcester 24cdi combi.

What does the pressure start off at and end up at, and after how long with the CH on?

tha bar is set at 1 and ends up at around 3 with heating on for 15 mins, with the thermostat cutting in and out, have emptied some water out of the boiler and the pressure with boiler off is now at 0.5 with it rising to 2.5 when heating on, the longer it's running the higher the pressure seems to go

Well, you seem to have a problem with your expansion vessel, either:-

1) Connecting pipe blocked
2) Diaphragm ruptured
3) Air depleted
