WORCESTER 24CDI LOW PRESSURE

I expect there is an AAV inside the combustion chamber which may well be leaking.

However, that area should only be accessed by a competent CORGI.

It should have been checked during the last service!

As the above 2 posts have mentioned have you first checked the PRV to ensure that there is no water from that then from the AAV.

If i remember rightly , and i'm sure Tony will correct me if i'm wrong , the AAV terminates outside the boiler at the top left corner. if you have signs of water egress here then that could explain it.

Actually before Tony has the chance, lol, they do terminate inside the boiler and that should be down to an RGI to check as it involves disturbing a safety feature of the boiler.

You beat me to it, but only by six minutes which is not bad during overtime hours!

apart from the lack of pressure, obviously caused by a leak somewhere, there seems to be nothing wrong with the boiler; anyone who then advises to ditch the machine in favour for a gloworm is highly suspect.

Thank u all for your help.

Had a Worcester plumber round changed lots of parts today the air vent, expansion vessel and pressure relief valve.

Which at the time all seemed fine until he left I noticed the heating won't switch off!!! have had to switch it off at the mains...

Called Worcester but they said he has fininshed for the day have to wait all day tomorrow now for them to come again.

It is a Digital room thermostat we have we have set it down to 5 oc but still the heating just keeps coming 25 0c was the max we could handle.

Anyone know of anything that be causing this?

Surely you can wait for the guy to come back and continue his work?

He said he had finished his work when he left last nite!!!!

Now been without hot water and CH for over a week....

Thought there might be something I could do as a solution without having to be Corgi, so we could have heating over night as my wife is pregnant and it's really not ideal having no hot water or CH.

But thank you for your helpful response.

Well you didn't mention that in your first post. Instead, you implied that you had someone booked to attend today.

Now been without hot water and CH for over a week.
No you haven't, you fibber. You wrote earlier that you had CH for at least some time yesterday.

But thank you for your helpful response.
Keep going with the sarcasm - you'll get help really quickly like that.
