Bosche WFG 2420 Washing Machine - No spin

Read on here about bushes.
Stripped it down this morning and put new carbon bushes in
Still does not work.

Machine empties no problem
Fills up no problem

But does not spin..

Cheers in anticipation of remedy?

Yes....Very worn. Machine was about 8 years old.

Whilst I had armuture out I cleaned it so copper was like new where brushes made contact

as long as the brushes are in the right way round ie contact to armiture and the plug is fully on the moter no broken wires it could have burnt motor out

No burning smell....Do not think it is the motor.....

can you get a meter and check the continuity though the motor.

Not got one


Looks like I will have to buy new washer....
We are a throw away soceity and I tried my best to repair than renew

You would rather buy a new washer than a £10 multimeter

most of these motors have a thermal fuse in them that can blow when the brushes get worn right down.

replace or link out and the motor will work.

one set wires to brushes
one set wires to windings
one set to thermal fuse (no continuity its blown)
