Bosh Washing Machine & Hotpoint First Edition 800 - prob

I have a Bosch dishwasher, there is still water in when the cycle has finished. plumbing has been checked and cannot see the problem. Also have a hotpoint washing machine, think the filter is blocked, as again water left in washing machine, even putting it on wash with no soap powder there is dirty water left, but I cannot find the filter to check! Any ideas where it is? It is not visible. It is a Hotpoint First Edition 800.

filter on washer is at the back remove 5 screws on lower panel and its in front of you a big black cup looking thing with a clip round it

Ah thanks, I'm really grateful. Have found it on other machines, but puzzled me on this one! This could be a problem solved, many thanks.
