You could tie-in the 32mm waste into the 40mm pipe - & using 45* fittings drop down & come over with a very shallow fall into the McAlpine I mentioned.
If the above proposal sounds a bit complicated then dont tie-in.
You could use two McAlpine boss connectors but you will still have to have adjust the pipes so that they have slight falls as they enter the McAlpine's.
Clips are needed - spacers are available to pull the clips out.
He just changed to solvent weld and it worksUnfortunately they haven't been fitted in the most pragmatic of ways - It's right on the downwash area from the toilet outflow so any weak point will be highlighted.
If I was repairing then I'd discard the rubber adapters and remake using solvent weld adapters. The 2 pipes could also be tee'd into 1x50mm pipe and then only one entry into the stack used via a 50mm SW boss adapter.
