The simplest jobs can get botched.
I revarnished my wooden floor in two stages over two days. This created a dark patch on the overlap, where there were effectively two layers of varnish. I've since tried sanding down the dark overlap and revarnishing, but this has created two dark overlaps when it has dried.
In the future, I'd do it all in one go. In the meantime, is there any way I can easily rectify this? It's looking a right mess and everything I do makes it worse.
