Both mains sockets and lights all flickering?

Hello guys and gals,

Me and my girlfriend have just bought our first house together.
It was built in 1986, doesn't have a RCD. Lately we have been having an electrical problem. The lights and anything connected to the mains seem to drop power. Not completely turn off but flicker or dim as if they are struggling for power. I have unplugged everything from the mains and the lights can still flicker. It's all intermittent.

Any ideas?

Phone the DNO sounds like a supply problem.

Loose connections or supply issue.

Needs looking at by an electrician or the DNO
