Are you saying the alarm company left the wire out of the alarm control panel for you to connect phone line to ?
What is the phone line required for ?

the phone line is to connect alarm to central station ...
alarm technician isnt actually that helpful ?????
he just asked us to get new cable to connect cable from bt socket to alarm ..
he said it wasnt his responsibility to connect from bt socket

...
he said it wasnt his responsibility to connect from bt socket

It doesn't sound like a good service.
Usually you don't need to use plugs on new cable, it is all connecting to terminals A and B inside of BT socket and the same to digi terminals. I wouldn't advice customers to make the connections.

Does it say in your alarm proposal that you need to have the phone adjacent to alarm control panel ?
Who is responsible if phone line does not work and signal does not go to central station?
Is it a police response system with police urn ?
Is the alarm company coming back to test system once phone line connected ?
