bpt intercom 200C door will not open

Hello,
if any one can help i have moved into a new flat and the intercom does not work when you press the push button to open the door.
the buzzer works and you can talk to the people but i cannot open the door. any help

Multiple possibilities including the button is broken, loose or broken wires in the intercom, or elsewhere in the wiring, or at the main panel, or it was never wired in properly in the first place.

Suggest you contact the building management so they can arrange repairs.

Post picture of handset and entrance panel ….BPT 200 series inc targa don’t have a dedicated wire for the door release it’s a signal passed back to the controller ( most are 4+1 ….1 being the buzzer wire ) bpt are 4 wire …

Have you confirmed that other flat dwellers CAN open the front door?

The door units can often be very unreliable indeed!
