Well went to change disc and pads today, allowing an hour each side! whoops!! so far not been able to get one disc off, obviously removed the retaining screws etc,

tried penetration spray, hammer, bigger hammer, puller, both puller and hammer

Now someone tells me to ramp the van, remove the front wheels, remove the 2 screws keeping disc in place lol! on either side, start van, put it in reverse, then brake sharply to release the disc from the hub

So have any of your guys heard of this way of doing it? Any help appreciated!

It might work, not sure what the HSE would make of that technique though

You only need to remove the wheel that's siezed. Start engine put car in gear and keep the brake on, it should break away.

thanks guys, what i did in the end was to cut down the disc with hacksaw and use chisel to split the disc, I had been reading how this approach was a last resort and was meant to be hard work! Well i was through the disc and had it split in no time.
