Branded shower worth double ?

Hello. I was looking in B&Q on Saturday and saw a 10.8kW shower from Mira for £235. There was also a 10.8kW shower from what looks like B&Q's own brand, called "Essentials". It was approx. £120.

What I want to understand is why is the price so different ?

When I bought a drill, I bought Bosch, because if it stops working, I hope to get spare parts for it. It is also better quality overall than one of those red jobs from Argos.

However, I know that sometimes, these cheaper veriants have the same internals as the branded products.

Because you were shopping in B&Q and it's in their best intrests to try and hawk their own goods?

If you go back to the power tool isle, you will see that 'Pro' tools are almost invariably rated better then Makita, I'm not 100% sure but I think Pro drills are supposedly better then Bosch, cheaper too.

Get yourself to a decent mechants, but remember they too usually have their own brand to sell... PTS - BOSS etc.
