Breathable roof membrane in bottom of gutter.

Breathable roof membrane in the bottom of gutter. Can this wick water up into the eves if the membrane is in contact with the bottom of the gutter ? You can see the staining on the underside this is wet. Water is not running above this so confident it’s around this area.

This damp is all the way down the side of the house on this side and the membrane is in the gutter all the way down

Maybe. I didn't think it would though so I wonder if it's condensation at that point.
What I think you could do with soffit vents or continuous vented soffit...
You can drill holes and fit round vents.
You also need to get solid eve supports fitted.
