Breville hot cup VKJ318 Dispensing twice

When I click the button to make tea the hotcup dispenses once and then starts up again as if I have clicked the button again. Any advice on how to fix this?

The switch mechanism has probably failed but is replaceable, bigclive has done a video on it so check that out to see if it is within your capabilities and you want to take the chance. About a tenner on ebay
