Hello Everyone.

An Openreach engineer bodged a drill a hole which chipped my brick - he drilled really haphazardly and rather than drilling straight went a bit sideways.

See pictures - the pieces have fallen off like a jigsaw which I have kept.

It's in an obvious place and I don't wish to replace the brick and therefore please can i get some suggestions on how I fix this using the existing pieces (noting the brick has some surface cracking).

I'm worried about the pieces falling off if I try to use some glue so wondering if mortar would hold it and how to blend it in?

Thank you :giggle:!

Brush off the loose dust and glue it back together.

Not sure what glue is best, maybe clear CT1 or just a mitre kit which is superglue and activator spray.

Mortar wont work anywhere near that thin.

Clear CT1 or Sticks like would do it. But if you use too much and it gets on the face, it will go shiny until it weathers off.

To be fair to BT, it looks like that brick had expired long before they came along. It's cracked all over the place.

This stuff is excellent, I used it for some brick repairs and it's completely invisible...

Expensive but does the job. It's made from finely ground brick dust in clear glue. As it's made from actual brick it matches perfectly unlike chemical dyed fillers and won't fade over time.

In fact I'm sure you could get away with a sample pot so won't need to pay much really.
