Brick Paint?

Hi does anyone have any suggestions what to do with a support pillar in my lounge which the previous owners had made out of those grey textured bricks you find in garden walls? My lounge theme is beige and I opted against plastering over it, so would it look tacky by painting with masonary paint? I was thinking about using some beige or terracotta brick paint but are there any options I could consider?

Any suggestions welcome.

Tacky?...depends on your personal preferences really...but id go go trying to blend it in with the existing decor myself

Personally if it's not supporting anything I'd knock it out.
