Brick path

I've got a quantity of reclaimed¹ bricks like these:

Any good to use for a garden path, or will the frost do for them in a short space of time?




¹ i.e. still lying in a heap behind the shed, never having been disposed of after a wall was taken down...

Well - I didn't buy them for that. In fact, I didn't buy them at all.

Just wondering, as they are free, if they have any possible use.

London bricks are responsible for many thousands of spalled bricks within unprotected garden walls. Look at any 1970's building site estates - any original garden walls built with LBC bricks (if you can find any) will be displaying numerous spalled bricks amongst them.

Having said that, LBC bricks are getting more scarce and are fetching a ridiculous price at builders merchants. Flog 'em and buy some nice clay paviors.

Look at the prices on Ebay. Was the cheapest face brick around in the 70's. Old ones were a bit darker, but you can get Rustic Antiques for a price.

Never thought about flogging them. I don't have many, and don't know if I CBA to clean the ones (most) which have layers of mortar on them and/or in the frogs.
