brick staining?

Hello

I've seen on a couple DIY proggies where they have laid reclaimed bricks then stained them to give a similar patina/shade/age. I suppose they slightly darken them ... not sure!

I also saw it when they laid a crazy paving type patio of various materials: bricks, paviers, cobbles etc etc. Then they referred to it as a 'wash'.

Pretty sure I've not dreamt this ... if anyone knows anything about it I'd appreciate any tips, advise or what to use etc.

We had it done on our garage conversion for the new wall under window that replaced the door. Very effective and well worth the money. Still looks just as good 3 years down the line

Was all in with the price from the conversion company so can't recommend a name I'm afraid
