Hi, I know this is probably a really stupid question but I am a novice living on my own... so, how do I go about bricking up a cat flap in a brick wall that I don't want?

Hi, Vicky,
Well, unless you want it to match the outside brickwork, I would consider just nailing it up from the outside and boarding over it inside.
however if you want it back to as original, then you must remove it all, flaps and liners and all. Then cut out any part bricks and then go to the builders mercant with a sample of the bricks and buy enough to do the job (10, a guess) and a bag of soft sand and a bag of cement
You will need a board to mix up on
A trowel, a pointing trowel,
A shovel for mixing up.
A plastic bucket for water
Ermmm, I should just nail it up...
