Can anyone diagnose our problem with our shower?

We have had this shower for the last four years, we have got power to the unit but when we press the start button it trips the RCD to the house. I believe there is a faulty part but would like some advice to which one it could be.

I want to order the part direct from Bristan but can't afford for an engineer to visit.

Can anyone please help

It is impossible to say 100% what it is without doing any testing which is why you need a qualified service engineer to inspect and test the unit, it could be something as simple as the boiler has packed up or water in another part of the unit.

Test the heating elements for resistance.
