I have a Bristan shower and for a number of weeks the only temperature we can get is luke warm. I called out British gas to be told that they don't cover showers and it was definately a problems with the shower. The engineer seemed to think it was probably the thermostat that had gone. I have therefore contacted Bristan and discovered that my shower requires the part:

I have done the usual thing of googling to find a cheaper version (as Bristan wanted £101.37 plus VAT and P&P. A little too much when my fiance and I get married in 6 weeks time! I have found the cheapest at mytub.com at £83 ish and that includes VAT and P&P.
However, I was wondering two things:
(a) If people thought this was definately the problem (if you feel the back of the unit when the shower is running it is piping hot so I am certain it must be but I am no expert)
(b) If anyone knows of a reliable website/store I could get the part from slightly cheaper at all.
