America might be the one to invade probably in the guise of liberation force there won't be hardly any natural resources left but we would be a good strategic military base

When I went out on the job market at 18 years old in 1984, it was scary. Remember Maggie's millions. That's a picnic to what it is now. There's no way I would want to be looking for work, or trying to buy a house now. Much more competition now, and made to jump through hoops for a min. wage job. House prices - crazy!
You've got the wrong end of the stick. Yes, many are/will lose their jobs and maybe their homes. Lots will struggle to get a comparable job, and may be forced to go part-time. It's going to be a hell of a lot tougher for your kids and their kids. There's increasing competition for jobs and housing. If the Eurozone falls apart completely, there will be even more.
Not so scary for those who are a bit older and have gathered in most of their harvest.
As for taking girlfriends, they can take the wife if they want.
