A friend has asked if I can help with his old British Gas Dual Channel Programmer. It controls his heating and hot water. He has a NON-combi boiler. I think the programmer was made by Hive, a forerunner to their wireless models.
My friend wanted the hot water ‘on’ periods changed slightly. I managed to find a manual online, but actually setting the times is incredibly difficult, but I managed it eventually.
Also, I had to allow for the fact that the clock is around 20 minutes slow, and the manual says nothing about setting the time. I have found other posts on the same issue but no satisfactory answers.
Also, the heating is set to come on for 2 (possibly 3) periods, but the heating light on the right is on all the time. So does this mean the thing is faulty?
