a light has a ceramic base but it has broken where the screw goes, and as a result it isnt fixed to the base anymore. what would be the best thing to 'glue' it down with?

it not the actualy holder whats broken: its the part the holder screws onto which is fixed to the metal on the light. it has a 50W GU10 lamp in it and thats about 30mm away from the broken part

1) Can't visualise that, or work out what material is broken

2) If it's ceramic, Araldite is a good bet, but that's an old remedy, there may be newer inventions.

3) It's not an electrical Q - take photos and post on the General DIY forum...
