Broken Rad Key

Hi folks ,
While bleeding our system the other night I managed to open one rather difficult rad to bleed it .. this done I was screwing back in the brass plug ( not sure if thats what its called ) when the top of it came off .. it seems to have been made from low grade brass ( very soft ) .. any way the tread end had been screwed in so no leaking or anything but I know I will need to bleed this in future so what do I do .... anyone any ideas on how to change it : )..

The usual set up is that the little bleed screw is set into a larger plug about 1/2" diameter. If you get your problem you change the whole thing for a pound or so (screw & plug). Some are removed with a hex spanner, some with a special key called - wait for it - a radiator key!! You can get these at the plumbers merchant when you buy the bleed valve. Some are different from this, with a threaded tube brazed onto the rad. In that case you're *****d and need a new rad, unless there's a trick way to fix them
