People constantly leaning and pulling on it for leverage has left it in this state. Put off working on it for awhile. No time like the present tho ay lol. If anybody can let me know how I can tackle this let me know. Cheers.

If the holes are not too badly damaged. Some new rawl plugs with existing screws should be fine. If the holes have widened, then you'll need the a bigger rawl plugs and screws to suit.

Glue your plugs in with GripFill or similar co instruction adhesive and leave to set for 24 hours before refit g the hand rail. Once it is solid you'll get a far better fix

So let me get this right, I should get some gripfill, fill the holes with the adhesive then leave it to dry for 24 hours. Then rescrew in my nails? When u say glue in your plugs, do you mean put tut the adhesive in the holes and fit the rawplug in and let it all dry in place then screw the nails into them?

Partly fill the holes with a construction adhesive, push in the plugs to full depth just after putting the construction adhesive e in and whilst it is still soft, leave to set, then screw into the plugs which are now effectively glued into the wall. A long time fix for holes that have been enlarges. Some new brown (7mm) plugs wouldn't go amiss, either
