I have found that a tile near the vent on my (partly protruded) ground floor roof has broken a corner. A picture is attached. As you can see this broken tile is a bit higher up than its adjacent tile and I wonder if the water running through the gap between the interlocking will be covered by the blue tile underneath (rather than going onto the underlay felt). I don't know why the tile next to the vent is different from others: light blue-ish and looks like plastic. Is it usually longer than normal tiles so that the overlap (headlap) can cover the gap?
