Now I really do hope someone can help me with this, time may be getting short!

My back door is a UPVC door with three hinges and they are very similar to the hinges offered for sale on Screwfix at: -

http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=66385&ts=51934

The difference is mine measure 115mm long X 30mm Deep and 12mm wide but still with the taper edge.

One of the hinges had broken some while ago but in the wind at the weekend another one has cracked. Could anyone anywhere be able to suggest where I could buy some or if you think they would be to difficult for a DIY fit where I might find a good fitter....

As ever I remain very humble in the presence of such knowledgable people.

Try North West Hardware on 0161 431 0077. I'm not sure if they sell to the general public though. You could also try your local glazing outfits - but these tend to only stock the items for the doors they fit.

Let me know how you get on with North West Hardware.

Thanks for your help,

Managed to get them from http://www.principality-ph.co.uk/

Only £2.50 each plus carriage, seemed a bit of a bargain. Not quite so easy to fit though without taking off the door but we got there in the end. Nice to know the door isn't going to fall off the next time it's opened....
