Trying to scan from this to the PC.

It scans, then asks if there are any more pages. If you press no, you get an error message on the PC screen:

CC4-006-00000000

Looking this up produces the advice to delete Control Center 4 and retry the scan. I don't get any joy.

Anybody else had this, please?

Reading up on that error code suggested it could be antivirus software. Can you try disabling your antivirus software when scanning?

Are you really tied to that software? I recommend Naps2 for scanning (works with any scanner) https://www.naps2.com/

Have tried disabling AV software, but no joy.
Will try NAPS2.

And thanks again to CW who reminded me that AV software can throw spanners in the works. In this case, it didn't, but that suggestion may well work for another hapless individual who comes here after tearing their hair out!
