l,m sure this has been asked before but l cannot find any answers tothis question so l'll ask for help and advice from the gardening experts. My lawn was always looking healthy and green, but this season it has got brown patches around the lawn.l cut the grass weekly and to a height of about 1.5". What could be the reason for this and what products will cure this.

Are they brown patches, or straw coloured? I did have this problem last year for a time, and was using a cylinder mower. This year, I have changed to a rotary mower, and this has solved the problem. I think the patches I was getting was because of slight uneveness in the ground, and a few parts were getting scalped. I have been converted to rotary, although they do not cut quite as finely, overall, I find the finish is better, and now the lawn is uniformly green. But without the stripes.
