Brown water from hot water taps

Well, I've fitted several heating coils into HW cylinders this way so I'm certainly not wrong. I don't intend to reply to any more of your rather rude comments.
I've fitted two Sidewinders myself, but not for this purpose. And not for a few decades.
Look at the cost now - it is almost never worth it even for a special case
It is correct that it is not normal to do this when a coil is leaking. If the coil is corroding, what's the rest of the cylinder like?
Nobody has a clue so it would be stupid to use it more.
You are wrong. If you take correction as rude, then get things right, simples.

Let's see how many plumbers chime it to say they routinely fit a (rather expensive) Sidewinder into an old leaking cylinder.

Persistently writing things which are not true, means it would be better to stop completely.
Some forum "contributors" have a need to write something, regardless of whether it's irrelevant, misleading and/or guessing, outside their knowledge. They are a nuisance.

I suggest you stick to your experiences.

Hope you have deep pockets ;) . His advice will probably be right, though.
British gas Quoted me £5723 for 15kw WB conventional boiler in the larder cupboard. Waiting time of 3 weeks.
Awaiting Boxt to try and do better. They can fit in a few days though.
Had never heard of Boxt until recently but my research shows them coming out better than British Gas in all respects.

Was hoping for better after job customer service from the big companies as I typically haven't got from the local people I've used in the past. Basically, fixing any issues. Time will tell though.
You might see me slagging off British gas or Boxt on here in a few weeks.

I think it's likely I will see a post from you soon.

In my exp the very local guy is far more likely to pop in if there's a problem. And you get to know him, etc.

I remember how common it was where a Potterton Suprima wouldn't fire up in the morning, and BG or other large co, would say "OK but is it working now??" If the answer was, "yes it comes on eventually", then they would't turn up.
Everyone knew it was 95% likely to be the circuit board of the day, but they were expensive, so on the rare occasion it was something else, somebody lost money. So it wouldn't be chanced..
