if we had a referendum in 1993 we would not of had to untangle decades of mountains of regulations, laws, legislation, millions of documents. if the vote was not to join. and if the vote was to join then the referendum would of been final.

It is a falsehood because we were not asked before he went to Brussels. Did the country want Austerity? Police Cuts? Can't remember being asked that.

The regulations and laws which you see as restricting actually makes it easier to trade across the EU by not wasting on meeting different standards and regulations - harmonisation.

It's always an easy sell to blame regulations. Third world countries don't have many standards or regulations but I don't see them as economic powerhouses.

Does democracy means you can't change your mind?
