Hi all,

At work one of the pumps is on it's way out, so a colleague has bought a new one, but it isn't totally a straight swap.

The pump has a 1 1/2" BSPP inlet and a 1 1/4" BSPP outlet, and he has bought the same size unions to fit directly on to the inlet/outlet. The unions are also BSPP though, and don't really tighten up.
I'd have normally ordered BSPT fittings, but is there anything I can do or use to get a good seal when using BSPP to BSPP?

The fittings and pump are Stainless Steel.

Thanks a lot

Scratch the threads up this will stop the PTFE / loctite pushing out

Thanks for the replies guys. But we didn't want to risk any sort of leak, so I welded one half one the union on to the pump housing this afternoon, pressure tested it, and all is ok :)

Master of None, the pump and unions are seperate items. Although the unions don't have gaskets in either, none of ours do.

Cheers :)
