bt to ntl phone socket

I havve my phone sockets both ntl and bt in the passage at the front door. There is extension running into the living lounge from the ntl socket which was wired into the socket by ntl. Now I want to switch to BT. Is it possible to connect the BT socket to NTL socket by an adapter or in any other possible way.

you should be able to disconnect the extension wiring from the NTL socket then use a junction box to join it to a new peice of telephone cable running to the BT socket.
